Who are the International Consultants of Delaware (ICD)?

ICD is a division of CGFNS International. It is recognized globally as an expert in the field of international education. Established in 1977, ICD performs credentials evaluation services for physical therapists, certified public accountants, massage therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, teachers and real estate agents. ICD uses the most relevant data available for credentials evaluation comparability through its membership in the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and participation in NAFSA: Association of International Educators activities, and from sources such as the Institute of International Education (IIE) and the America-Mideast Educational and Training Services (AMIDEAST). A provider of world-class education evaluation services for 30 years, ICD is aware of the importance of its reports to the future and professional careers of its clients.

Is ICD a member of NACES?

Yes. ICD is a charter member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). This is the only organization which serves the purpose of maintaining standards of foreign credential evaluations. Members voluntarily agree to uphold the standards of the profession.

ICD performs two types of evaluation, 1) the General Statement Credentials Evaluation and 2) the Course-by-Course Credentials Evaluation. We have specific evaluations for Veterans Affairs nurses, physical therapists and physical therapy assistants, massage therapists, occupational therapists, real estate agents, teachers, pharmacists and certified public accountants. These reports are used to support individuals in obtaining further education, employment and immigration visas, and in the case of health care professionals, licensing and certification.

No. Documents need to be sent by postal mail or courier, correspondence can be sent through email, postal mail or courier.

What is the difference between ORIGINAL and OFFICIAL documents?

Both are from the educational institution with the proper seal/stamp in an official envelope

  • ORIGINAL — sent to the applicant
  • OFFICIAL — sent directly to ICD

All documents and a copy of the evaluation are retained in your file for at least three years.

What should I do if I need extra copies of my evaluation?

If you need duplicate copies, please send us a written request by email or postal mail. Include the address where you wish to have the evaluation sent and the fee listed at http://www.icdeval.com/fees.shtml.

Evaluation times vary according to the amount of time it takes to receive all the documentation from source agencies. Once all required documents are received, an evaluation typically takes about eight to ten weeks.

Does this mean I will be licensed?

If ICD completes a physical therapy evaluation for me, does this mean I will be licensed?

No. When the state board receives a completed evaluation, they decide if an applicant meets their requirements for licensure based on the information included in the evaluation.

Does this mean I will be licensed?

If I am licensed as a physical therapist in one state, does this mean that I will be licensed in other states?

Licensure in one state does not guarantee that you will be licensed in another. Each of Physical Therapy state board has its own requirements for licensure.

Will the U.S. college transfer all my credits?

Will the U.S. college I plan to attend transfer all the academic credits?

Some of your credits may not transfer to a degree program at a particular university or college. Each college and university in the United States has different requirements for obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
