CGFNS responds to the natural disasters in southeast Asia

CGFNS is aware of the tragic natural disasters that have wreaked havoc in the Philippines, India, Samoa, Vietnam, American Samoa and Indonesia. We extend our sympathy, prayers and thoughts to those affected.

Transportation, mail and communication services have been limited or suspended in these areas. CGFNS will temporarily extend deadlines for document submission and application completion to minimize the adverse impact on services to our applicants affected by these events.

To accommodate applicants who have been affected by these events and who are scheduled to take the November 11, 2009 CGFNS Qualifying Exam®, CGFNS will honor requests to change this exam date and/or locations, and/or receive refunds. This is temporary and is intended only for those applicants affected by the disasters in the Philippines, India, Samoa, American Samoa, Indonesia and Vietnam.

To request an exam date change, location, or a refund, please email us at www.cgfns.org/cerpassweb/processContactUs.do or write us and fax +1 (215) 349 7872. Please include the words “Attention: Department T” in the first paragraph. Please also include your name, birth date, CGFNS ID number and a contact telephone or email where we can reach you. If you are not the applicant, please indicate your relationship to the applicant.

If application documents cannot be obtained from their source because of the natural disasters, CGFNS will accept copies of documents that have been sent to state boards of nursing or international nursing councils, with a signed and sealed verification from those agencies that they received the documents from the original source. Application documents from applicants will also be considered, if proof that a good faith effort was made to obtain the documents from the original sources.

If you have any questions please contact our Customer Service Department at +1 (215) 222 8454, extension 604.
