CGFNS announces changes to licensure validation requirements for all programs
The Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) is announcing a change in the requirements of licensure validation. The change will affect the Credentials Evaluation Service (effective for all applicants beginning 1 January 2001) and the Certification Program (effective for applicants registering for the March 2001 CGFNS Qualifying ExamSM and all exams thereafter).
Beginning on the respective effective dates, CGFNS will require that official validation of initial and current license/registration/diploma must be sent to CGFNS directly from the issuing authority. This change will enable CGFNS to more effectively, accurately and reliably analyze applicants’ credentials.
