2002 News CGFNS Announces Dates for the Qualifying Exam in 2003 PHILADELPHIA, PA — JULY 1, 2002 — The Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) has announced the dates of its Qualifying Exam for 2003. The dates and deadlines are as follows:
All applicants are reminded that in order to obtain a CGFNS Certificate, they must pass both the CGFNS Qualifying ExamSM and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) is an immigration-neutral, nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia, PA USA. The organization was founded in 1977 through a collaborative effort by representatives from the U.S. Department of Labor; Department of Health, Education and Welfare (now the Department of Health and Human Services); and the Immigration and Naturalization Service; along with representatives from nursing organizations, including the American Nurses Association and the National League for Nursing.
